Sequoyah County Fatality Trucking Accident Remains Unsolved

On July 18th 2020 a fatal hit and run accident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on I-40 eastbound between Roland, Oklahoma and Dora, Arkansas.  Witnesses stated a white semi tractor/trailer struck a pedestrian who appeared to be changing a flat tire on the shoulder of the roadway.  The person who was killed in the accident was named Robert Rabe. The actual truck involved in the accident was believed to have been caught on camera by another sem-truck on the opposite side of the highway.  However, because of the distance between the camera and semi, the investigators were unable to identify any identifying numbers on the vehicle.  Therefore, the case remains unsolved.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has asked that anyone with information about the accident call the NE Region Communications Center at 918-627-0440.  Our office represents the family of the decedent, so you may also contact our office at 918-323-4351.  A photo of the vehicle is shown below.
